Brouhaha Beat is comprised of two people: Theo and James. One is a Brit and one is a Yank but beyond that we will introduce ourselves in our own words for those who care at all.

Theo

I am a university student from the UK. I grew up around music but only came into it properly in around 2011 or 2012. Discovering a love of rap music was a big watershed for me, which awas started by albums like Cancer 4 Cure, R.A.P Music, and, strangely enough The OF Tape Volume 2. Outside of rap music I have a penchant for many different types of folk music, but primarily American and East Asian. I wilfully admit to being a huge country music fan and particularly like gothic country. I also like black metal, or any other music that builds walls of noise that are satisfying to destroy my eardrums to. Midwest emo is another passion if only because I cry at literally anything so it does the business for me. Outside of music I enjoy contemporary literature, most types of cinema, and American football. Have a blast y'all.

James

I'm the less patrician of the two people running this blog. Currently in what is technically my sophomore year of college in my attempt to net a Computer Engineering degree. I first really started getting into music around the same time as Theo when I stupidly decided to join an album group on a forum we were both on despite maybe having 5 albums I listened to regularly. With a combination of that group and various discoveries both online and in the house I quickly found myself a real niche in progressive rock. While I do try to keep what I listen to as varied as possible and I am way more picky about it then I used to be it still has a warm spot in my heart. I am down with most sects of rock/metal music, mainly the more experimental flavors of the two but I also have a penchant for jazz, synthpop, experimental hip-hop and as of late IDM. When I am not listening to music I am probably playing some trashy vidya, gushing over some new sci-fi obsession or accepting my fate to be swallowed into the eternal void.
